What is CS115W?
CS 115W is a separate 1-unit workshop in which student instructors review the week's material from the main CS 115 course. Students with little or no programming background are especially encouraged to enroll in the workshop. It is like attending a study group and getting credit towards graduation for it.
Expectations
CS 115W is offered credit/no credit. You must attend at least 12 of the 15 workshop sessions to receive credit for the course. To get credit for attendance, you must participate in both of the following ways:
- Bring one of the following to the workshop:
- Your work in progress on the current programming project (if one is assigned).
- A written question about material covered in recent lectures or labs.
- Participate in discussion and come prepared to ask questions.
Because CS 115W is not intended to introduce new material, the instructor will not bring enough material to cover the entire two hours. Students' questions and participation are essential parts of the class.
